The enclosed porch keeps sounds buffered and adds additional guest relaxation areas. The building was built in 1843. It was a Federal Style Building. A building that is 166 years old could tell many stories including having had President Abe Lincoln and Elvis Presley as guests!!
The Wakeman Room, original structure from the 1800's, seats 50 guests comfortably. It has been used as the original tavern, a creamery, bakery, antique shop, line dancing room.
The Wakeman Room now holds breakfast guests, lunch during the week, our weekend dinner buffets as well as private events such as rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, Red Hat lunch groups, Amish Tour groups and many other events. The glass doors lead out to the Rose Garden where guests may enjoy their early morning coffee or relax with a book.
Our olde style porch where guests may relax in a traditional rocker made by the local amish carpenters. It houses our Native American eclectic collection of art and history. A sunny room to enjoy early morning coffee.

Another view of the Grand Walnut staircase where many Bridal couples have been photographed as well as guests staying at the Inn. The staircase used to spiral to the third floor and that section is in one of the houses in Mendon. It was purchased from the Inn when Gordon Male, a previous owner, removed the third floor. Original quilts grace the banister.
The Okavango Innkeepers African Suite. A spacious cottage jacuzzi suite with a rustic theme and modern comforts. The room has a queen bed, large double jacuzzi, coffee making facilities, bar fridge, TV satellite, overhead fan, air con and gas log fireplace for winter. It is centrally heated. Guests may relax on rockers on the open porch. Directly opposite the Main Inn within a short walk for breakfast

The English Cottage Room, a warm, sunny and spacious Family Room with private bathroom, direct TV, overhead fan, aircon and Jensen fireplace for the winter. Comfortable white wicker allows guests a place to relax with a book or watch television. This room is on the 2nd floor and faces south east
